Project Black

Alongside the 'serial numbered' Official Spitfire Speed Shop bikes we also build 'Projects' for customers.
Project Black started out as a Yamaha XTZ750 Super Tenere which had been worked on to a certain extent, it was in need of a full Spitfire hit.

A full strip-down and engine rebuild was the first task, cases were blasted and powder coated whilst new parts were ordered.
The freshly powder coated frame and wheels went together with new rubber and plenty of attention to detail custom parts.

The exhaust is definitely a stand-out feature! We went for a motocross look with custom downpipes and a one off custom exhaust bracket.

The rear of the bike was left as open as possible, with a simple seat unit just big enough to fit the Motogadget wiring loom and an anti gravity battery. We created a neat number plate bracket with a single L.E.D light to finish it off.

We wanted to keep the bike simple and mean, so we decided to go for a gloss black tank with new graphics and an off centered custom filler cap.

The front end was treated with a modern lamp, new controls, levers and braided hoses, with the eye catching grey Biltwell grips.

Project Punisher went on to feature in the Bike Shed Show London Tobacco Docks in 2019 and stood proud beside some of the best custom motorcycles in Europe.

Big shout to all the help we had, watch out for the next Project bike.

Thanks for your time,

The Spitfire build team...
