Delivery of Projekt K

Our bike of 2020 Projekt K finally came to an end when we delivered the bike to an excited customer. As this build was essentially a prototype it took 9 months from tear down to road legal.  The customer was completely blown away and speechless when the bike rolled off our ramp. It was the first time he had seen it with his naked eye and in his words, "Wow!! in real life it actually looks even better than in the photos". The spitfire team fired the bike up to an instant roar from the custom exhaust and talked the customer through the starting process and the new motogadget wiring loom and controls. An emotional build for the spitfire...

Project Black

Alongside the 'serial numbered' Official Spitfire Speed Shop bikes we also build 'Projects' for customers. Project Black started out as a Yamaha XTZ750 Super Tenere which had been worked on to a certain extent, it was in need of a full Spitfire hit. A full strip-down and engine rebuild was the first task, cases were blasted and powder coated whilst new parts were ordered. The freshly powder coated frame and wheels went together with new rubber and plenty of attention to detail custom parts. The exhaust is definitely a stand-out feature! We went for a motocross look with custom downpipes and a one off custom exhaust bracket. The rear of the bike was left as open as possible, with a...

Projekt K

Projekt K is a customer build based on a BMW K100. The K stands for 'Kaiser', the German word for Emperor. The well received soft launch was at our recent show in London Morgan, Kensington. The full tear down of a good solid base bike was completed and the parts were straight in for some powder coat and paint. A lot of custom parts have been fabricated for this bike as well as some great off the shelf parts. We feel that the tail unit is an insane custom feature on this bike, the seat detail and the Porsche 911 paint colour really do look great together. Projekt K was due to be shown as a Pro-Build at the 2020 BikeShed...

Project Punisher

Project Punisher is based on a BMW K100 This is a full rebuild with an emphasis on being as 'custom' as possible but remaining pretty standard as far as parts go. Phase 1 was the tear down of the donor bike, the design and the fabrication. Attention to detail was spent on striping the bike down to a plain canvas, leaving just what we need to fabricate and adjust. The main fabrication was on the rear of the bike which we raised 1.5 inches, creating a saddle seat and a clean look. Integrated rear light and number plate hugger with the battery tucked away under the seat. Phase 2 was the engine and exhaust system. The engine was blasted and rubbed back to...

Project Talos

Project Talos is a customer build based on an 80's Honda CBX750. The project is named after the mythical giant bronze statue of Talos, hence the paint colour and the fact that this is a big old bike. The bike came to us in a sorry state bought by our customer off eBay (see the pictures below) with the intent to do the build himself. The tear down was quick and a full rebuild of the engine was required, this was tricky due to parts availability.  We then concentrated on the chassis work and grafted a new shock into the bike, this left a big hole in the swingarm where the old shock was. We decided to run the exhaust...
